Spann Elementary provides opportunities to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all learners.
Spann Elementary desires to prepare all students for the world by valuing diversity, opening their minds through personalized learning, and encouraging them to be lifelong learners in the global community.
Our main building was built in 1959 as Spann Junior High School--a status it maintained until 1971. It was then converted to an elementary school. Today Spann Elementary serves 4K through 5th grade. We are home to more than 600 students, almost 100 faculty/staff members, and many volunteers. We are a Title 1 school and as such, we receive federal funding to assist us in increasing student achievement. The school is a blend of old and new architecture. Construction of a Kindergarten and 1st grade wing in addition to the replacement of three 4th grade classrooms was completed in 1999.
Spann Elementary is the proud recipient of Palmetto Gold for PASS Scores & Palmetto Gold for Closing the Achievement Gap and Palmetto's Finest.
At Spann Elementary, we are on the MOVE every day to be WORLD class.
