2022-2023 Virtual Learning Options

  • Parents will be notified about acceptance for the 2023-2024 school year after Spring Break

     

    Dorchester School District Two will offer a full virtual option for students  in grades 6th through 12th. Virtual courses will be offered through EdOptions Academy.

    EdOptions Academy is an online learning platform that provides flexible, customized, and engaging virtual education to K-12 students in the United States. The academy was launched by Edmentum, a leading provider of digital learning solutions, to offer a personalized learning experience to students who need an alternative to traditional classroom settings.

     

    EdOptions Academy offers a wide range of courses, including core subjects like English, math, science, and social studies, as well as electives and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. All courses are aligned with state and national standards, and the academy's instructors are highly qualified and experienced educators who provide individualized instruction and support.

     

    One of the unique features of EdOptions Academy is its focus on personalized learning. The platform uses adaptive learning technology and data-driven analytics to identify each student's strengths and weaknesses and create a personalized learning path based on their individual needs and learning style. Additionally, students have the flexibility to work at their own pace and access course materials and assignments 24/7. EdOptions Academy also offers a range of support services to help students succeed. These include live virtual tutoring, academic coaching, and counseling services. Students can also participate in online discussions and collaborate with their peers in virtual classrooms.
