Mrs. Swoyer

Hello, GATE Parents... My name is Kellie Swoyer, and I've been teaching in DD2 since 1990. I taught at Givhans when it was an elementary school, Knightsville Elementary, and Oakbrook Elementary. I've been teaching 4th grade GATE since 2008 here at NES. I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you and your child. We will be working together as a team, and the team's goal is the success of your child. Each child in this program is unique, and the material and pace are challenging. This year the priority will be to teach my students the required curriculum standards while incorporating our district's five GATE goals and meeting students' individual needs. Please actively assist with your child's assignments and have daily discussions about what we are studying in class. This year as I teach the required curriculum standards combined with our district's GATE curriculum goals, my intention is to provide learning opportunities and experiences for your children that challenge them and allow them to reach their personal goals. I am looking forward to a great year!
