General Technology Programs
Every year employees are required to complete safety training through Vector Solutions. Follow the directions linked above to create your account. Be sure to select your job title link when registering as different roles require different training.
Dorchester School District Two uses a local technology company, Cantey Tech Consulting, to manage our hardware and network infrastructure. If you have an issue with any district hardware you will contact using the directions linked above to resolve the issue.
Clever is used as our Single Sign-On service, limiting the number of passwords required for students and employees to remember to access district resources. Clever is also used by teachers to share digital resources and programs with students in a secure and organized single location. Clever also offers an online course through Clever Academy you can complete to learn how to use all of the features available.
**Note: New Hires will not have access to Clever until after the District PowerSchool roll-over date, currently scheduled for August 4th.**
All maintenance work orders are handled through My School Building, also known as School Dude. Before submitting a maintenance work order, you will need to create your account in the system following the directions linked above. You will need the following code to register your account with the district: 190987974.
Microsoft Teams is used across the district to facilitate collaboration and communication through chat, video messaging and meetings, and file sharing. Review the introductory video above so you are familiar with the basics of Microsoft Teams and how it is used in Dorchester School District Two. Instructional Technology Programs
Dorchester School District Two provides robust and curated curriculum maps and resources to all employees through Rubicon Atlas. The video linked above will show you how to login to Rubicon Atlas and how to find your curriculum within Rubicon Atlas.
Microsoft Teams is also used with teachers and students as a digital classroom space. Teachers can organize content, distribute notes, and manage assignments through Microsoft Teams. Review the video above to familiarize yourself with how Microsoft Teams is used to facilitate online learning. Every student and employee in Dorchester School District Two has access to Office 365. Office 365 allows access to things like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams online as well as 5 licenses to install these programs on your own computers. Your Office 365 account is also used to allow you access to many of our district resources through Clever.
Microsoft Teams is a tool used by PLC teams and teachers in their school and classroom. For more instruction on Microsoft Teams beyond the introductions above, you can find a variety of detailed training here: Conversations, Announcements, Files, Assignments, Quizzes, and Joining Online Meetings.
Student Device Management - GoGuardian (grades 2-12 only)
GoGuardian is used to monitor student use of digital devices within the classroom as well as a platform to share resources with students in real-time. GoGuardian will be available to teachers in grades 2-12 for use with the student's Dell student devices.
PowerSchool Professional Learning (PL) is used to find and register for professional development sessions offered across the district. PL keeps track of renewal and technology credits from both within the district as well as professional development from outside the district provided document is submitted.
