Media Center Information

Hours: 8:30am to 4pm Monday - Friday.  Students must have a pass during class time and must sign into the library.

ILT Rules: Students may spend their ILT in the library, as long as they have a book to read or an assignment to work on. Students are allowed to bring lunch into the library during ILT. Any students disrupting their peers will be asked to leave.

Checkout Policy: Students may check out three books at a time, for a period of two weeks. YouMUST HAVE your student ID in order to check out books.  Materials may be renewed by visiting the media center. Overdue fees are charged for all overdue materials, and all fines must be cleared before checking out additional materials.

Printing Policy: Printing may be done in the Media Center. Black and white printouts are 10¢ per page and color printing is available for $1.00 per page.

2018-2019 SC YABA Books: Each year, the SHS Media Center participates in the South Carolina Book Award Contest. Teens from around the state read at least 3 books from a listing of 20 selected new Young Adult titles and vote on their favorite. This year's list has some AMAZING titles!
