Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Summerville Highschool.  My name is Tina-Marie Bunting and I am a graduate of Summerville Highschool class of 1987.  I attended the University of South Carolina where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1992.  I majored in Art Education and minored in Painting and Ceramics.  I am also certified and endorsed in Gifted and Talented Education.

I have taught Art in Dorchester District 2 for 27 years.  Most of those years have been in the middle schools, Alston Middle (2), Dubose Middle (3) and Gregg Middle School (21).  This year, I am a proud Greenwave at SHS and am loving every minute of it.

In my spare time, I enjoy biking, running, boating, reading, painting, and being outside to enjoy our incredible southern weather!!  My passion is teaching the Arts to students, especially when a student discovers his/her talents and becomes excited about learning new skills and techniques.  I am looking forward to teaching my students the elemental aspects of Art for them to become a life-long learner of the arts and the diversity of art cultures of our world.
