Hey ya'll. Welcome to Mrs. Walker's Web page. A little about me. I am a 2X National Board Certified Biology teacher. I have been teaching at Summerville High School for 22 of my 28 years. I have a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Pre Med. My first masters degree was concentrated in Botany. My second Masters is in Administration. Education is quite a different direction than my initial pursuit which was to go to veterinary school. That was no longer an option when my husband came along and domesticated me. I have been very fortunate to teach high school as I believe that you can't get any closer to animals than teenagers. Of course I say this with great love. I am the mother of 3 exceptional girls and a fantastic son-in-law. Our family also includes 4 dogs, 4 cats, 3 ferrets, 1 conure, 1 rabbit, 2 horses, 1 mini-mule, 3 pygmy goats, and 21 chickens. I approach the classroom with energy and enthusiasm because learning should also be fun!
