Hello! My name is Mr. Fairburn and I will be teaching IT Fundamentals for 7th/8th graders and Keyboarding for 6th graders. Originally, I am from Lima, Ohio. GO BUCKEYES! I graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School and then Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education with emphasis in Sport Management. After graduation, teaching was not in the plans. I actually had the opportunity to work for two different Minor League Baseball teams. Though I learned about all the aspects involved in business and baseball, after two very long seasons, I realized that career choice was not my calling.

In 2010, I began working at River Oaks Middle School where I found my true passion...teaching in the classroom and coaching on the court. I am entering my tenth year in the classroom. I enjoy working with my students as we learn and grow together. Through my years ROMS, I have been involved in coaching basketball, baseball, and volleyball. For the past several years, I served as the head coach of boys basketball team and will continue again this year.

I am excited to get to know and work with my students and parents. I am committed to the success of all ROMS students. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email or call the school.
