River Oaks Middle School has transitioned to Distance Learning beginning March 18^th through March 31^st. During this time, I will have office hours Monday – Friday from 10:00am-11:00am and 2:00pm-3:00pm where I will be available to check and respond to any email correspondence. 

Student Learning Packets are available to all ROMS students, specified by grade level. These packets can also be accessed under the Class Files & Handouts link, as well as on the main page of the ROMS website.

Welcome to a new school year. My name is Stephanie Major. I was born in Newark, New Jersey and raised in Marion, South Carolina. I graduated from Marion High School, and completed an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Clemson University. I moved to Charleston in 2003 and received a master's degree in Math and Science from the College of Charleston in 2005, and a master's degree in Elementary Administration from the Citadel in 2007. I have been teaching in Dorchester District Two since 2004, starting my career at Alston Middle School. In 2016 I received my endorsement for teaching gifted and talented students. I am highly qualified to teach grades 1-8, and specifically math and science in grades 7-8. 
I have one daughter and have a black Labrador Retriever.
