• Dear Students & Parents,

We hope you are healthy and taking all precautions to keep everyone out of harm's way.

First and foremost, let me say that I miss you all and look forward to the time we are back together and making music!

I wanted to send an email today with some instructions for all band students as we move forward and continue to work through distance learning and taking advantage of all the online/remote resources that we have.

All students need to access/sign-in to MICROSOFT TEAMS.  Every band student has been placed in either the Wind Ensemble or Symphonic Band class on TEAMS.

(disregard the Band 1CP, Band 2CP, Band 3H, etc ... use the Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band classes ONLY!).

If you have never signed in to Microsoft Teams, there are instructions attached on how to do this.  It is a very easy process and students will    be able to access assignments, instructions, grades, etc. as well as be able to interact with each other, ask questions, and receive feedback!

In Microsoft Teams there are already three assignments for the students.

    Those assignments are:

    1. Sign-up for their online Smart Music class for FREE
Follow the link above and when prompted, enter the class codes:
    for Symphonic Band students: PPLZN-2N3JU
    for Wind Ensemble students: J4P2Y-XR6UE

    2. Register for their FREE Sight Reading Factory student access code
Follow the link above and you will be taken to our program's page and will be prompted to sign up for FREE!

    3. Sign-up for their class' REMIND group
for Symphonic Band students TEXT @benpoun to 81010
for Wind Ensemble students TEXT @benpou to 81010

***I am putting grades in through Teams as students complete these assignments***.

Attached is a Daily Practice Routine for students to use at home.  This document as well as the Clinic/Senior Scale requirements are linked on our band website under the E-Learning tab at the top of the page.  The Daily Practice Routine includes links to free exercises, music, recordings, etc. that students can utitilze at home for FREE!

We will continue to make resources available through our band website www.arhsbands.org as well as Microsoft Teams as they are available.
