While we are not meeting face to face for the next few weeks, I have put some resources together on this website under Helpful Links to help keep your musical mind fresh and ready for our return. Plan to listen to music for 20 minutes a day and take note of what you like and don't like. Is there music that helps you study? Do you like one type of music better for one subject (like math) than another? What do you listen to when you want to relax? Also try the timed note naming and note placing challenges! You can send me your scores via email.
If you want to practice at home, I have the PDFs for our class book and sheets we've used. You can request those by emailing me.
You can contact me with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org. I won't be checking PowerSchool every day for messages so don't send anything urgent there.
Our Spring Dance and Piano Concert will be held on Thursday, April 30th at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. There will be a rehearsal after school until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29th, also in the gym. All piano students from 3rd quarter (6th grade) or 2nd semester or year-long (7th and 8th grade) are invited to perform. CP students are expected to perform as part of their high school credit. Students may play up to 3 pieces, most perform 2. Email me at email@example.com if you would like to perform. Cutoff to request to perform is Monday, April 20th.

Mrs. Andrea Scheulen
This is my second year at Gregg and I'm excited to continue working with students from last year and meet new students this year. Piano is the best foundation instrument and is accessible to all. My classes meet students at their skill level. We work together on fundamentals of music like articulation, dynamics, and theory, and of course hands-on coordination. Piano is a difficult instrument but highly rewarding. Hard work pays off!
I am married to a wonderful husband who is a military and airline pilot. Together we have two Boston Terriers and a cat. We are both originally from out of state (Michigan and Maryland) and have moved a few times, but Charleston is where we have lived the most years together and it feels like home. In addition to being part of the GMS family, I am a section leader in the Grace Church Cathedral Choir and long-time member of the Taylor Festival Choir.
