Hello Everybody! My name is Mary Joy Williams and I am theatre teacher here at SHS. This is my second year in DD2 and my third year teaching overall. I recently finished my MAT in Theatre Education at the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!)! I have studied and been a part of the performing arts my entire life, and I love getting to share my passions with my students every day! 

The goal of the Summerville High School Theatre Department is to create a community of care that is dedicated to creating quality theatrical performances. We produce one fall play and one spring musical a year. Theatre students also participate in a state competition and our school has an active International Thespian Honor Society Troop. There are many theatre activities throughout the year, including Improv shows, holiday parties, and student produced work!
