Greetings students and parents! My name is Patty White, and this coming school year will be my twenty-second year teaching here at Summerville High School.

I am originally from Summerville, so that means that I am #foreveragreenwave as I graduated from SHS as well. In addition to teaching English 3 during the day, I als  facilitate English courses in our school's evening school program. During my free time, I enjoy reading a good book or mindlessly watching my favorite cable channel Investigation Discovery. Also, every year I make sure to make time for my all-time favorite past time - cruising!

As an educator, it is my personal goal to teach all of my students to be independent thinkers and to excel beyond their expectations. Every student can excel in every aspect of my class, and I challenge them daily to do so. In order to facilitate their efforts, each student is treated with respect and compassion; I will work just as hard as my expectations for them while holding them responsible for their actions or inactions.
