Welcome! My name is Hope Jones and I am the Special Education Teacher for 4th and 5th grades. I teach Reading, Writing, and Math. From 1991-2004, I worked with the Disabilities and Special Needs Department. I began my teaching career in DD2 in 2004.
In my spare time my husband and I enjoy camping, going to the beach, and spending time with our dogs.
Assignments are put into a yellow folder at the beginning of the week. Each student in my Reading/Writing class is expected to complete the following:
Reading: Students are expected to read a book on their Lexile level for 20 minutes each night and complete a Reading Log.
ELA: Students will have 5 problems to complete Monday-Thursday. They will take a Daily Language Quiz on Friday.
Math: Students will have 5 problems each night to complete. They will test on these skills on Friday.
Other assignments may be given throughout the week, but I will note the assignment in the yellow folder.
