Social Studies Teacher

Mr. Barron is a "native" of Summerville, South Carolina, having lived here for most of his life. He graduated from Stratford High School in Goose Creek, SC, and earned his A.B. Degree in Classics from the College of Charleston. He also earned a Master of Education Degree in Gifted Education from Converse College.

Prior to arriving at Fort Dorchester High School, Mr. Barron held teaching positions in John's Island, James Island, West Columbia, and Summerville, SC. He has been teaching since 2004, and has been at the Fort since 2008.

Mr. Barron is married with three children (one son and two daughters). He enjoys spending time with his family, doing fun activities with his children, watching movies, and watching TV shows such as The Walking Dead, House of Cards, Law and Order: SVU, and Criminal Minds. He also enjoys listening to a wide variety of music from the 1960s to the present, and reading books about history, politics, and current events.
