Aura Gomez

Mrs. Gomez is originally from Colombia, South America. She is part of EPI (Educational Partners International) an Exchange Visitor  Program which sponsors teacher for K-12 placements in public and private schools in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida. She moved to the US two years ago to accept the ESOL position at Fort Dorchester High School.

Mrs. Gomez holds a Bachelors Degree on Modern Languages (English and Spanish) as well as a Masters Degree on the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language from Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas in Bogotá, Colombia.

She has more than twenty years of experience teaching Spanish and English as a  foreign language to people from different ages, educational levels and backgrounds. She loves teaching languages, sharing cultural  experiences with her students and learning new things.

Mrs. Gomez has been married for ten years and has two daughters. She regularly attends Seacoast Church in Summerville. Her hobbies include camping, traveling, watching movies and listening to music. She loves animals and enjoys nature, good food and spending time with family and friends!
