Mrs. Hinson grew up in Kershaw, South Carolina and moved to the Charleston area to attend college at Charleston Southern University. She attend Andrew Jackson High School and played volleyball. Mrs. Hinson grew up on a farm. 

 Mrs. Hinson pursued a degree in Secondary Math Education at Charleston Southern University as a Teaching Fellow. Mrs. Hinson student taught Pre-Calculus and Algebra 1 at Hanahan High School. Mrs. Hinson has been at Fort Dorchester since 2017

 Mrs. Hinson married her husband on June 3, 2017 at Mepkin Abbey in Moncks Corner. Her husband is a Detective for Dorchester County. Mrs. Hinson’s brother attends CSU. Mrs. Hinsons’ parents live on the family farm and own a boarding and grooming facility in Kershaw.

 Mrs. Hinson regularly attends Awaken Church. Her hobbies include exploring the Charleston area, reading, teaching swimming lessons, and traveling .
