Mrs. Stacy Jackson

Hello!

My name is Stacy Jackson and I teach Chemistry here at the Fort!

I grew up in Goose Creek.  I graduated College Of Charleston with a B.S, in Chemistry.  After working in industry for several years, I enrolled in the PACE program in order to receive my teaching credentials.  I have been teaching at the Fort my entire educational career.

I am National Board certified in Adolescent Young Adult Science Education with a focus on chemistry.  I have also earned an M.S.E. from Arkansas State University with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction.  I serve as the Science Department Chair for Fort Dorchester High School and also serve as a Dorchester District 2 National Board Candidate Support Facilitator for those teachers in the district who are working towards their NBCT credentials.

I am married to a retired physics teacher.  We met here at the Fort!  We are both United States Marine Corps veterans.  We have a pet German Shepard named Gunny!

I have one wonderful son, a wonderful daughter-in-law, a wonderful grandson, and a wonderful granddaughter.  I love to play tennis, cook, and fish.  I once caught an 8 pound catfish!  I love to go to tennis camp on Amelia Island.  It is my happy place!
