Miss Mackenzie Robison

Ms. Robison was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, SC.  She graduated from Academic Magnet High School and attended the University of Miami for her undergraduate degree, where she studied Marine Science and Biology.  She also has her Masters of Art in Teaching from Clemson University.

During her Junior year of college, Ms. Robison had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.  While here, Ms. Robison improved her Spanish-speaking abilities and explored these magical islands via hiking, SCUBA diving, and snorkeling.  Ms. Robison has had the travel-bug ever since studying abroad and takes any opportunity she can to explore new places.

Since graduating from the University of Miami, Ms. Robison has been involved in a wide variety of jobs and internships.  Some of these include doing sea turtle nesting research in Costa Rica, leading kayak tours on Shem Creek, working at the SC Aquarium, and leading hikes and snowshoe tours in Aspen, Colorado.

Ms. Robison’s parents still live in Mt. Pleasant and she has an older brother who recently moved to Raleigh, NC, though she also has relatives in Texas, Colorado, and Delaware.

In her free time, Ms. Robison loves spending time outdoors. Kayaking, hiking, and going to the beach are among some of her favorite outdoor activities.  She also enjoys spending time with her parents’ dog and cat, Tilly, the chihuahua/dachshund mix, and Biscuit, the adopted stray cat. She is hoping to get her own dog some day soon!
