River Oaks Middle School has transitioned to Distance Learning beginning March 18^th through March 31^st. During this time, I will have office hours Monday – Friday from 10:00am-11:00am and 2:00pm-3:00pm where I will be available to check and respond to any email correspondence. 

Student Learning Packets are available to all ROMS students, specified by grade level. These packets can also be accessed under the Class Files & Handouts link, as well as on the main page of the ROMS website.

Hello Students and Families,

Welcome to a great year of 6^th and 8^th grade science! My name is Mr. Cody Smith and I teach 6^th and 8^th grade science at River Oaks Middle School. I am originally from a small town in Southern Illinois. I graduated with a B.S. in the area of Biology with an emphasis in Physiology and Health Sciences from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. I then graduated with a M.S. in the area of Higher Secondary and Secondary Science Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
