River Oaks Middle School has transitioned to Distance Learning beginning March 18^th through March 31^st. During this time, I will have office hours Monday – Friday from 10:00am-11:00am and 2:00pm-3:00pm where I will be available to check and respond to any email correspondence. 

Student Learning Packets are available to all ROMS students, specified by grade level. These packets can also be accessed under the Class Files & Handouts link, as well as on the main page of the ROMS website.

I began my meager life in a very small town in Massachusetts, but had to move around New England a few times while growing up. After completing my English degree at North Adams State College, I embarked on my career in education. Unlike many teachers, my career has taken many forms: special education programs, universities,  proprietary education, and public education. I furthered my education with a master’s degree in education from Notre Dame College. I have traveled and lived in many countries around the world which has given me the ability to realize the worth of various perspectives and cultures.  I have also lived and taught in many regions of the United States which has also given me a great appreciation of our country. I thrive on those “Aha” moments in the classroom when the students grasp onto a concept that has been avoiding them. And I am equally enthralled when they bring up a valid point that I missed when reading a text. Watching students build more and more skills is what has kept me in the profession for more than 30 years.
