I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I always new I wanted to be a teacher, but during my high school years, I decided I wanted to be a high school math teacher because I was good at math and loved the high school environment. I attended Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, where I received my B.S. in Integrated Mathematics. In 2008, I began my teaching career in Columbus City Schools. During that time, I received my Masters of Education, got married, and had 2 kids. Fast forward to June 2019, my husband and I decided to move our family to Summerville, South Carolina. So I am beginning my 12th year of teaching here at Summerville High School and looking forward to a wonderful time here.
