Tiara Scarlett has worked throughout the Charleston area as a teacher and choreographer for the past six years. While acting as a performer and teacher for Adande Dance Company, she has been teaching assistant/instructor with Steps Ahead Dance Studio since its opening in 2012. In addition, Ms. Scarlett was often the Dance substitute dance instructor at River Oaks Middle School and Fort Dorchester High School in the DD2 school district. While attending Texas Tech University getting her BA in Performance and Choreography, she was a performer for the University Dance Company, and an Apprentice for Flatland's Dance Theatre in Lubbock, TX. Scarlett’s talents and passion for dance education are equally evident in her choreography. Her attention to detail, passion for new styles, and her unique choreographic style have given her a cutting edge among some of Charleston’s best artists. Scarlett’s choreographic credits include work with the professional dance company, Adande African Drums and Dance, Trident Technical College’s Dance Ensemble, Cross High's Black History Month, and Raider Reds Awesome Dance Spectacular. With her Bachelors in Performance and Choreography, Tiara Scarlett is excited to challenge students to be their best individual dancers, performers, and artists.
