Hi, my name is Ms. Scarberry. I am so excited about teaching 7th Grade ELA this year at Alston! I grew up in Summerville, South Carolina. I am so excited to get back to the district that I grew up in! I graduated in 2021 from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with my bachelors degree in education as well as a minor in History. Go Gamecocks! This will be my third year teaching, but my first year in DD2. 

My goal is to have an engaged and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe and able to learn, share their voices, and challenge their academic growth. I look forward to a wonderful year of growth and achievements!
