Oakbrook Elementary

OES Bearbots consists of a team of 4^th and 5^th grade students who work together to prepare for a competition involving all DD2 elementary and middle schools.  Although it involves using Legos, it is far more than building with Legos.  Team members work with a mentor from SPAWAR and program a robot to complete missions.  They also learn about CORE values of working as a team and complete research based on a given topic.  At the competition, the team presents their robot, research and performs a skit to a group of judges.   It takes many hours of training, practice and research to prepare for the big day, but all the hard work is worth it!  OES Bearbots is an awesome team!!
