Mr. Jaeson May grew up in Stanford, Kentucky. He earned his Bachelors in Arts in teacher from Eastern Kentucky University and headed south accepting his first teaching job in our very own, Dorchester District Two at Dubose Middle School.
He taught visual art there for 20 years and started coaching at Fort Dorchester High as the varsity head coach for both the boys and girls swim teams. In 2015, Mr. May then went on to teach Media Arts at Summerville High School while continuing to coach. After earning his degree in administration in 2018, Mr. May set out to make a difference from a leadership position.
His first administration position was at Oakbrook Middle School as an assistant principal. This opportunity provided growth and direction that motivated him to be a better and stronger leader with a strong desire to make even a bigger impact.
That opportunity is where we are today, Mr. May will be serving you at River Oaks Middle School his year as an assistant principal. Mr. May is extremely enthusiastic, energized, and happy to be part of the Bobcat family.
Mr. May lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Angela, and their two boys – Maeson and Aeden.
