Greetings! My name is Arthea D. Simmons, and I am a native of Holly Hill, South Carolina. I am a 2013 graduate of Claflin University, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am also a 2015 graduate of South Carolina State University, where I received a Masters of Education in Counselor Education, certified K-8^th. I began my career as a school counselor in the Beaufort County School District at Pritchardville Elementary in 2015, and transferred to Spann Elementary in January 2017.

This year, I will be serving students in our virtual academy. My ultimate passion is to educate and empower children. My goal is to see that your child succeeds academically, emotionally, and socially in a positive and nurturing environment, virtually and/or face to face. Rest assure that I will assist in providing your child with a positive educational experience. Let’s work together to make this school year full of learning, fun, and personal growth for your child.
