Katie Hodge
I was born in Raleigh, N.C. and moved to 4 other states before my family settled in Summerville, S.C. I am a product of Dorchester School District 2, attended Alston Middle School and was a 2002 Summerville High School graduate, where I played basketball and ran cross country. I attended Winthrop University and College of Charleston for my undergraduate degree, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and am highly qualified in K-12 Special Education.
From 2006 until 2018 I taught Special Education at Sangaree Middle School in Ladson, SC under the Berkeley County School District. I was named Teacher of the Year at Sangaree Middle in 2008. In 2010 I earned a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Charleston Southern University.
I love being outside, spending time with friends and family, watching and playing sports, doing yard work with my mom and hunting with my dad.
In 2018, I joined the Oakbrook Middle School Admin team and was an assistant principal at OMS through the 2020-2021 school year. I am excited to join the Reeves team this year and looking forward to working with all the students and staff. Go Marlins!
